Much of the student research that goes on in my lab during the academic year and in the classes I teach occurs at the Bernard Field Station.

We have been particularly interested in the distributions and habitat requirements of the two species of woodrat that live there. Click here to enter “Woodrat Nation.”

We also have been studying the fall migration of neotropical migrants that stop over at the BFS on their way south for winter. In addition we have been marking resident birds for behavioral studies.
