Channel Islands
Dr. Karnovsky and assistants, Kristen Boysen (2010) and Augie Lagemann (’10) head to the Channel Islands this summer to collect data on Xantus’ murrelets, Cassins’s Auklets, and their aquatic prey. The study is centered at Santa Barbara Island, but their trusty vessel, the R/V Shearwater ships them on many transects off the island.
