Emily E Bockmon

I grew up in Anchorage, AK, and now that I’ve left the snow for sunny Southern California, I just can’t seem to get away! I earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Pomona College, while also pursuing Environmental Studies. I then moved to San Diego to attend Scripps Institution of Oceanography where I earned a Ph.D. studying the chemistry of carbon dioxide in seawater with Dr. Andrew Dickson. Returning to my alma mater I am now a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department. I feel lucky to teach the amazing students here. (But I still miss Alaska!)
