Study Abroad

One question that we frequently get is whether there are particular study abroad programs that are especially good for studying linguistics and/or cognitive science. The quick answer is: no, not really. But people study language and cognition basically everywhere, so many programs have courses that are relevant to your major. Most students don’t need major credit from study abroad, and there’s certainly no requirement that you take major-related courses while you are there. Nonetheless, your study abroad office will likely encourage you to discuss your course options with your advisor, and we welcome those discussions!
