Students can request funds for reasonable and justifiable expenses, such as equipment or participant payments, for their senior theses and senior seminar projects. You MUST request the money and get approval in advance, before spending it. To make a request, briefly explain your thesis, give a clear justification for purchases and payments, and create a detailed budget including items links and dollar amounts. The typical request is up to $300, and the request for funding should be emailed to Wendy at Wendy.Mcnerney@pomona.edu.
If your request is more than $300, follow the instructions below:
$301-$600: Along with the budget and justification you prepare for any request, please also obtain an email from your thesis advisor indicating their approval of your budget. Send all of this information to Wendy at Wendy.Mcnerney@pomona.edu.
>$600: Email the budget, justification, and thesis advisor approval to the department chair, currently Professor Abrams, at lise.abrams@pomona.edu.
Once your request has been received and approved, Wendy will provide more information on how to access the funds.
