We welcome collaborations across the 5Cs, including with undergraduates, grad students, postdocs, and faculty, as well as those outside of the Claremont Consortium. Note that those interested in applying to the social psychology graduate program at Claremont Graduate University should contact their core faculty for inquiries.
5C students can receive 0.5 course credit for working in the lab, provided the appropriate registrar form is filled out early each semester (199RA Research Assistant Independent Study). See here for a list of recent projects and expectations for joining the lab. Applicants with strong organizational skills and an ability to commit to two semesters is preferred. A commitment to working in only one research lab per semester is also preferred.
No previous research experience is required, however, completion of PSYC 154 (Social Psychology), Research Methods, or PSYC 180C (Climate Change and Human Behavior or Psychology of Climate Change) is preferred. We also welcome students with programming experience and/or experience with Qualtrics, although these are not required.
If you would like to be considered for a research assistant position, please email Prof. Pearson with a brief description of your background, including any relevant courses taken or research experience, and a short description of research interests relevant to current SCI Lab projects. An attached resume is also welcome but not required.
If you are a current or prospective grad student or postdoc and are interested in our work, please email Adam Pearson.
