We welcome collaborations across the Claremont Consortium, including with undergraduates, grad students, postdocs, and faculty, as well as those outside of the Claremont Colleges.

5C students can receive a half of a course credit for working in the lab, provided the appropriate registrar form is filled out early each semester (199RA Research Assistant Independent Study Contract). See here for a list of recent projects and expectations for joining the lab. No previous research experience or coursework is required, however, completion of PSYC 154 (Social Psychology), Statistics, Research Methods, and/or PSYC 180C (Climate of Change: Climate Science, Psychology, and Human Behavior or Psychology of Climate Change), and programming experience or experience with Qualtrics is welcome.

Applicants with strong organizational skills and academic record and an ability to commit to two semesters are preferred. A commitment to working in only one research lab per semester is also preferred.

If you would like to be considered for a research assistant position, please email Prof. Pearson with a brief description of your background, including any relevant courses taken or research experience, and a short description of research interests relevant to current SCI Lab projects on climate change or sustainability. Resume is welcome, but not required.

If you are a current or prospective grad student or postdoc and are interested in our work, please email Adam Pearson.
