COVID-19, the disease caused by a novel coronavirus has arrived in LA County. Although there are currently no confirmed cases in Claremont, the Claremont Colleges are responding vigorously to mitigate the potential threat. In addition to moving all undergraduate classes online, the Colleges have canceled all public events through May 15. As a result:
- The BFS will not hold any volunteer events for the rest of the semester.
- The BFS will not host any Earth Day Activities this year.
The BFS is, however, still open for use. Researchers are welcome to use the site, and K-12 school groups in classes that are actively meeting are also currently welcome to use the BFS.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Wallace Meyer, the BFS Director at wallace.meyer@pomona.edu.
